Gmail Paper – Let Gmail print your email for you

without comments

gmail_talk_logoGmail just keeps getting better. New and innovative features have become so regular, that you can now bet on Google to keep setting the standards for other email providers to follow.

The latest feature to be added to Gmail is Gmail Paper.

What is Gmail Paper ?

gmail_paperStarting today, someday you will see a new button “Paper Archive” while viewing your emails. Gmail is rolling this feature out slowly, so you may need to wait before you can use this feature.

Using this “Paper Archive” button, you can request a physical copy of any message , and Google will send it to you by post to your home. Google will print all messages instantly and prepare them for delivery. As usual, snail mail delivery will take some time.

Will it cost you ?

Not a single penny. Google is too clever. The cost of postage is offset with the help of relevant, targeted, unobtrusive advertisements, which will appear on the back of your Gmail Paper prints in red, bold, 36 pt Helvetica.

What about the attachments in the email ?

Photo attachments are printed on high-quality, glossy photo paper, and secured to your Gmail Paper with a paper clip. MP3 and WAV files cannot be printed (Can they ?).

More about Gmail Paper

All this seems too good to be true. I think this is just another one of the Google April Fools jokes. We will have to wait till tomorrow, to see if this is real or yet another Google’s April Fools day joke. ;) As I has thought, this was a April Fool’s joke. Google rocks.
