I hate it! Why force this new yahoo? The public clearly doesn't like it change it back. My gmail account is still an option and I'm wondering how many people found this to be the last straw and switched to what they've been thinking about....gmail. The G might have won this one and sadly it might be for good! Ric

I hate the changes. A few useful features like autosave are good, but generally the site does not work. It often freezes, then I have to log out and log in again to get it to work. Other pages, like Options, use the new yahoo interface, and sometimes don't offer options I would like to use. They tried to launch their New Yahoo interface, but people preferred the old one. Their reaction? To replace the old one bit by bit with the new one.

Why are the programmers at Yahoo ignoring the wishes of thousands of Yahoo users, especially the users of Yahoo Classic? Yahoo Classic had a toolbar full of easy to use, very usefull and understandable tools and ways to access those tools! Why is Yahoo arbitrarily taking away those useful features from the users without notifying the user and then not replacing an operation in kind?

How do I change my yahoo classic to the updated yahoo classic? I'm not talking about the newest version of yahoo mail; just the updated yahoo classic with features like autosave e-mails. Once again, I'm not referring to the new UI with the tabbed feature. I just want the slightly new version of yahoo mail CLASSIC. Thanks in advance for your help.

Sincerely,
seth Andale

I have had both Yahoo and Gmail accounts for over a year. I have seen Yahoo make several strides to improve. All that I recall have had had glitches. Yahoo would recover, then faulter. Gmail in the meantime remained the same, but it has been a consistent performer. The platform also responds faster. I have dial-up. I also have a small-company server, which is unbelievable slow. Gmail responds more quickly consistently. Gmail has never dropped a message in the middle of a letter - never. Using the Gmail label system takes line space, but it is simple, very flexible, and the messages may be retrieved theoretically forever. I am not computer literate, but I have managed to understand the instructions to transfer my Google mail to the Yahoo accounts. It is simple and efficient. Google Toolbar in the same amount of time has improved four fold, in my opinion. Yahoo has made some improvement. Google "accessories" have become numerous, useful, and remain efficient. Two of the greatest leaps Google has made in my opinion have been in their "readers" and in their Blog systems. I have not read any reports on any of their products. My evaluation, as I said, is from a very elementary user perspective. I think that Google options have limitless possibilities for university students and/ or researchers.

Sincerely,
M. T. T.
