Hello...
I instaled Kalyway in my dell vostro 1400 (core 2 duo, intel gma x3100) and thats looks great, but when i shutdown and power on again, appears the black screen, i have to wait 11 minutes and 20 sec and come back, every time!! some solution??
Also the sound is not working, the other devices works fine (bluetooth, airport or wireless), keyboard (except some special characters)...
Solutions??
pd. when i boot appears kernel panic, i tried with: cpus=2 busratio=20 Plataform=ACPI and it works!!

THe issue with running Mac software on a PC is that Mac only makes drivers for its own hardware. Mac controls both the hardware and software which is why their machines seem to operate without failure.
PCs are simply an assembly of off the self components which were never matched together to run as a single unit. Windows kinda patches this unspecified hardware together and allows the package to work (its really hit or miss with a PC).
That said, there are some manufacturers who do a good job a specifying their hardware (IBM, and Compaq are a couple that come to mind). which will allow persons attempting this install to get the best bang for their buck, so to speak. I have attempted the iaktos install on a Toshiba laptop and finally gave up, its just not compatible hardware. I am now attempting it on an IBM thinkcentre, we shall see, so far its bombed out during the initial install, but I will press foreword. Just keep this hardware in mind folks when attempting to try and make your hackintosh.
